I have been practicing massage since 2014, drawn to the practice by the desire to help relieve people's pain and suffering. I saw clients with all manner of aches and pains; back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, headaches, and on and on. They would get off the table feeling great, only to return month after month with the same complaints, sometimes slightly better, often much worse. I began to feel I was letting them down, in fact, I felt dishonest suggesting they keep returning only to get limited, temporary relief. There had to be a better way.

I began studying different "alternative" modalities in search of a therapy that would provide lasting relief in a relatively short time. I was continually disappointed. Eventually, I arrived at an "introductory" seminar for the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach. After just 30 minutes into the seminar, after 10 years of searching and being disappointed, I knew that I had what I was searching for, and more importantly, what everybody needed. After that first training, my clients began to see fast, lasting relief, often after the initial session! After just a few sessions, I was being told that their pain and discomfort was gone, often after many years of other therapies with no long term relief. They were able to move better, sleep better, and return to activities they had been forced to abandon. I also noticed a change in people's stress levels, how their mind-body was interlinked with their physical pain. JFB-MFR has the capacity to allow people to experience themselves and their lives on a much deeper level.

After that first class, I knew this is what people needed, and what I wanted to provide for them.
